NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal recently stumbled across such a video that he shared on his Instagram story. The fans immediately took it upon themselves to make their opinions known.

The NBA Legend is now a successful entrepreneur who has multiple ventures and is often seen sharing content on his social media accounts. The video that he recently shared on his Instagram story featured a group of MMA fighters training outdoors with their coach. However, the real catch was the method of training.

A training travesty – Fans question training method on Instagram

Different coaches have different training methods and disciplines. However, one really bizarre video caught the attention of the internet, where MMA fighters were seen standing in line and absorbing shots dished out by their coach outdoors. That was apparently part of their training. The internet made sure that they called out this absurdity.

The comments section expressed their disdain for the training method used.

• “this ain’t training this is draining“
• “Stupidity at its finest 🤦‍♂️“
• “This ain’t even a good workout. Like wtf is this“
• DO NOT hit to the head like this in training. Horrible coach, move gyms immediately“
• “One dumber than the next, I don’t see the benefit at all.”. 

The general sentiment revolved around fans expressing their concern for the training method used and how it would negatively affect the fighters under the trainer’s tutelage.

One person who seemed convinced that the training process did actually have its benefits, commented, “This does really toughen you up, looks scary but it works – you need to learn to take a punch“. 

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal also joined the fans in ridiculing this training process. Neither did he make an official comment, nor did he share his reaction. However, he shared the video posted by pasion.boxeo on his Instagram story.

Shaquille O’Neal seems to be really active when it comes to sharing content and stories of events from the world of MMA and UFC. He recently shared a video of ex-UFC fighter Scott Smith taking a tremendously painful-looking liver shot, only to knock out his opponent Pete Sell in what happens to be arguably one of the greatest finishes in UFC history. Now, this video shared by O’Neal of the training video only goes to strengthen the belief that Shaquille O’Neal might be a UFC fan.

The UFC takes good care of its fighters. The training process of toughening up the fighters involves wearing appropriate body armor to absorb the shots. However, this is not the first time a video like this has surfaced and faced major backlash. Does this really pay off? Or do they have serious bodily repercussions that are more long-term than short?
