However, Bronny James and the Sierra Canyons got the last laugh of the day. Following this, Savannah James walked over to the opponent’s side and returned the taunt.

Adesanya shared a clip of the incident on his IG story and wrote, “The audacity of this mumu… Lions don’t pay attention to [sheep].” Although in the story, ‘Stylebender’ used sheep emojis rather than spelling the word.

Adesanya’s support for James should not come as a surprise, considering how star-struck he was when he met James in person.

When Adesanya met James

During an interview given to ‘Bleacher Report’, Adesanya opened up about meeting LeBron James at Drake’s house. “I didn’t even know we were on the basketball court till I looked up… Just seeing everyone around, even LeBron pulled up. We talked for like a minute 20. I wasn’t expecting to see him. So that one kind of got me like, ‘Oh sh*t! Did that just happen?’” said the former champion.

Adesanya also added how both of them were courteous and showed respect for the other’s craft.

Israel Adesanya has been a master in his craft, much like LeBron James. However, ‘The Last Stylebender’ recently ran into some adversity in the form of long-time rival Alex Pereira. The Brazilian knocked out Adesanya in November last year to claim the UFC middleweight title.

Adesanya is set to run it back with Pereira in April. How do you think the fight will play out this time? Will Adesanya break his losing streak against Pereira? Or will ‘Poatan go 4-0 up against his greatest rival?
