Khabib Nurmagomedov, the Dagestani combat sports phenomenon, is one of the most talked-about athletes of all time. The Russian made his name in the octagon and now wants to help others do so after becoming a promoter.

Just a few days ago Nurmagomedov made a bizarre 3 sheep offer to meet the NBA icon. Now, he reveals the real reason.
In the latest sit-in interview with the Full Send podcast, ‘The Eagle’ repeated his request for meeting Jordan, “I really want to meet Michael Jordan,” Nurmagomedov stated.
However, this time, he revealed the real reason he is so impatient to meet the face of Nike’s Jordan collection,
“With Michael Jordan, I just watch like a month ago I watch his documentary because I am working on my documentary and it was very interesting to watch… My friend advises me like you have to watch this you know, it’s like very impressive. Like before his documentary, I didn’t know about him much. I just know Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player, that’s it.”
“I really wanna meet this guy. I didn’t know it was really hard to meet Michael Jordan, but I really wanna meet.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov regrets not being able to meet Muhammad Ali
During the conversation with Full Send podcast hosts, ‘The Eagle’ wasn’t really his original stiff and strict self. Contrastingly, he was really casual and spoke his heart out during the entire program.
Nurmagomedov also explained how his ‘Dagestani Basketball’ differed from Jordan’s. “I just watch… I play basketball but not like Michael Jordan.”

“This is Dagestan basketball… DC told me one day like, let’s play basketball with these like things. I said no no, I never played with this… Like we take, we wrestle, we run, you know, we do everything,” Nurmagomedov told.
However, later, as he concluded his talks on Jordan. ‘The Eagle’ revealed his regret. Probably, the biggest regret relating to a combat sports athlete. He said: “One person I really wanna meet but… it was Muhammad Ali.”
