UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has always been in awe of athletes. This is clear from his reactions in the UFC commentary booth and the way he has spoken about fighters like Kamaru Usman and Amanda Nunes. However, his appreciation for athletes is not limited to just the UFC or MMA; it goes beyond. In a new episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘, he discussed former NBA star, Michael Jordan.

During the early parts of episode #1851 with Chris Williamson- a YouTuber and podcaster, Joe Rogan discussed aspects that make an athlete like Jordan. He said, “But then, you get someone who has all the things and that’s how you get a Michael Jordan.”

“You get someone who has physical talent, genetic gifts, the mind for it, discipline, consistent work ethic, and then you get greatness. But also mental illness, you need to be… Like Michael Jordan, with all due respect is considered, you know, absolutely one of the greatest, if not the greatest basketball player of all time, but is kind of mentally ill.”
“He’s obsessed with winning to the point where he’s an a**hole. But that a**hole like, he’ll tell you like ‘you just don’t want to win enough’. And he’s right.”

Joe Rogan went on to explain how Michael Jordan would give people the cold shoulder if he ever lost.
Joe Rogan on Michael Jordan being the Greatest of All Time
The Spotify podcaster has discussed Michael Jordan prior as well. While he called the Chicago Bulls legend the G.O.A.T. in his latest episode, he has done so before too.

In episode #1803 with guest Greg Fitzsimmons, Joe Rogan discussed how Jordan was removed from a golf course, as he was wearing cargo shorts.

Joe Rogan was further annoyed that the greatest basketball player of all time was subjected to such treatment. Thus, he has referred to ‘His Airness’ as the NBA G.O.A.T. a few times.
