UFC superstar Conor McGregor is reportedly facing another setback. The 34-year-old’s recent troubles started when he made a surprise appearance at a Miami Heat game of the NBA finals at the Kaseya Center. A string of scandals ensued and now it seems that the appearance of ‘The Notorious’ and the blowback from the same seems to be getting to him. Recent reports indicate the deal is dead in the water after the ordeal the team went through following McGregor’s visit to their game.
Conor McGregor is currently facing backlash for the uncertainty surrounding his UFC return. After reportedly missing the USADA deadline for a 2023 return, fans have now begun to doubt the Irishman’s resolve to compete again. To top it all off, McGregor’s team is yet to register a win in the ongoing season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ against prospective opponent Michael Chandler‘s boys in red. Now, ‘Mystic Mac’ is facing another setback as Miami Heat has reportedly backed out of the TIDL deal.

Recent reports state that Miami Heat is backing out of the deal with Conor McGregor after the series of events from a few weeks ago. During a promotional skit for TIDL, McGregor accidentally injured the Heat mascot Burnie. Reportedly, the man in the costume needed medical care following the incident.

What’s worse, the former UFC champion faced sexual assault allegations in the following days. His team has denied all claims and McGregor himself has refused to comment on the situation.
Now Miami Heat is allegedly backing out of a deal that would have made TIDL their official pain relief partner. Further, the team would have worn a patch showing the brand name on their jerseys in the next season.

Both parties have taken down mentions of the other from their social media, further strengthening the rumors. This is a huge setback for McGregor’s ambitions to find a footing in the US market for his products.
