He celebrated his City Kickboxing teammate Alexander Volkanovski defeating Yair Rodriguez to become the undisputed UFC featherweight champion. Furthermore, they joined NBA Legend, Shaquille O’Neal in Las Vegas. ‘The Last Stylebender’ recently appeared in a podcast and shared his experience partying with the 4-time NBA champion.

Israel Adesanya had a memorable evening with Alexander Volkanovski and Nuggets star Jamal Murray. Moreover, Shaquille O’Neal took up his DJ Diesel avatar at Encore Beach Club. The 2-time champion mentioned how much he enjoyed that night in a recent edition of the ‘Halfcast Podcast’. Let’s see what he had to say.

The reigning middleweight champion mentioned that he had a great time with Shaquille O’Neal. He had nothing but praise for the NBA Legend. Adesanya said, “The motherf**er’s the man, bro. Honestly bro, he’s f**ing dope.” Furthermore, he mentioned that he loved O’Neal’s DJ stage set-up and also got a chance to interact with his sons while the NBA legend was hyping the crowd.

Adesanya further added, “His set is f***ing [awesome]… Swear down, the guy could just like, he’s hyping everyone up and his sons were there. Talked to them a little bit.” However, that was not the first time he interacted with O’Neal. He had previously met him during one of his UFC fights.

‘The Last Stylebender’ is O’Neal’s favorite fighter

Israel Adesanya claimed to have met Shaquille O’Neal before their UFC 290 after-party. The NBA legend was present during his stellar fight against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 236. Moreover, that day, they had a brief interaction where O’Neal told Adesanya that he was his favorite fighter.

The 2-time middleweight champion said, “I have met him before. I met him [when] he watched the Gastelum fight live and as he’s walking by, [he] goes, ‘You’re my favorite fighter.'” All in all, he had a great time with Shaquille O’Neal and he stated that the 4-time NBA champion is a great human being. “His set was dope, he was cool… It was just cool, bro,” said Adesanya.

Israel Adesanya would have had the same plans for a party after beating Dricus Du Plessis. However, that fight got scrapped after the South African star pulled out due to an injury. The UFC is now working to find his next opponent. We will have to wait and see what unfolds in the days to come.
