Colby Covington left the entire sporting community stunned at the UFC Tampa pre-fight press conference by going off on LeBron James. Well, it seemed like the former interim welterweight champion didn’t really like it when the Los Angeles Lakers’ power forward talked highly of Diddy Combs’ parties. But now, things seem to have taken an interesting turn as a tweet, apparently from James, has been circling around on the internet. However, let’s check the facts and not believe everything we see on the internet.
According to the tweet, James wrote, “This is for Colby Covington: Yea I have been to Diddy parties, maybe a few dozen times. That doesn’t mean they have anything on me. Unlike you, who foolishly went out for dinner in your enemies city and got jumped – I calculate every move I make. Also, I could help them put Diddy away for life, but I’m not a cop calling rat b—h like you. Keep my name out your mouth!”
With Combs facing a backlash from the entire world because of recent controversy and arrest, many netizens, along with ‘Chaos’, lashed out at James for his words. But is the tweet from James even real? Well, the catch was that James hasn’t been active on X since November 21, 2024. The basketball star’s profile doesn’t even have the post. On top of that, the post doesn’t have a date stamp on it. Hence, we can safely conclude that the Lakers’ star hasn’t put out anything on X in response to Covington’s heated words.

‘Chaos’, like many others, came to stumble upon one of James’ posts, where he claimed that there was nothing like a Diddy party. With controversy wrapping around the singer and rapper, Covington decided to let his stance regarding James’ move be known to the world. During the pre-fight press conference for UFC Tampa, he said, “I’m going to start this off, you know, since I’m the man of the hour. The man of the show. I just wanna ask LeBron. What does he mean by, ‘There’s no party like a Diddy party’? I truly want to know. And not only that, LeBron, how many Diddy parties have you actually been to? I’m really curious to know.”
‘Chaos’ questioned if the fear of a backlash from the fans was the reason why he didn’t really have an active social media life. He continued, “Just pathetic, man. People think this guy is a role model. Wants to defund the police. The most patriotic people in America. Serving and protecting our country. LeBron, you’re a f–king scumbag. And I hope you get locked up in the same cell with Diddy.”

On the other hand, the basketball legend has yet to open up about the rumors of him being associated with Combs. And as far as the beef with Covington was concerned, it seems like silence is indeed the best policy for James to handle the situation, don’t you think? After all, ‘Chaos’ can talk trash, which can severely hurt the Lakers’ power forward.
