Jon Jones is ready for his next venture outside the Octagon. It seems he is close to drawing the curtains on his illustrious career after putting his body on the line for almost 15 years. The fight business remains highly unpredictable, and the fighters’ pay campaigns have largely failed to make a dent. Therefore, MMA fighters fall into a pit of uncertainty after their retirement. However, it appears ‘Bones’ has already chalked out his retirement plans as he sought inspiration from a former UFC champion.

In the twilight days of his career, the heavyweight champion is seeking a career that is far removed from what he has done throughout his life. The 36-year-old is ready to spend the rest of his life behind a counter, handing people receipts, contrary to handing deadly blows to his opponents.

Notably, Jones will square off against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden on November 11. He believes he will complete his fighting career after he has fought Miocic. “I think the Stipe fight will be plenty for me,” he declared in a conversation with Fox Sports Australia. Following this, he has now teased what the future holds for him beyond that fight.

Will fans witness Jones one last time at UFC 295?

After securing the heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane at UFC 285, rumors started popping up about Jones’ retirement. Many believed the fight against Miocic at UFC 295 will be his last. He seemingly accepted the same as he announced, “I feel like I don’t really have much to prove after beating Stipe Miocic.”

But after Tom Aspinall secured a spectacular win recently and called out the champion, Jones is ready to wait for the exciting challenger. “Sounds good lol,” Jones announced in a tweet as he responded to Aspinall. Hence, Jones has alluded to a longer stay in the promotion.
