UFC CEO Dana White is pretty open about his love for gambling. He tends to put a lot on the line and has often won big amounts on different occasions, but guess what? White is not the only celebrity who likes to splash the cash. The 54-year-old recently revealed that even NBA legend Charles Barkley loves to indulge in the same.

“I love to gamble, I don’t like to gamble,” Charles Barkley once stated during an appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast. He’s had his bad days, for sure, while gambling, but he did make some big figures. One such instance occurred when Barkley attended a gambling party of Dana White.

Power Slap 6 took place on Super Bowl day, and Charles Barkley had plans with Dana White to attend the event. The event was held at the Durango Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring clubbing blows from the slap fighters. And that day, the UFC CEO realized how much affinity the NBA legend had for placing bets.

“There’s only a couple guys in the world, here in the United States and in Vegas that play like I play… Charles Barkley is a gambler too,” Dana White told comedian Andrew Schulz and Co. on the Flagrant podcast.

The UFC CEO stated that he had a special party, that involved gambling and was attended by the kick streamer Adin Ross. Charles Barkley also got the invitation and thanks to White, he won $600,000 that night.

“Charles Barkley came to Power Slap and the one we did at the Durango [Resort] and I had a big gambling party after and he f***ing beat him for like $650,000… he crushed it,” Dana White added. That might have been a great night out for Charles Barkley, but there was a point when his gambling habit spiraled out of control.

When the Hall of Famer NBA legend was on the Club Shay Shay podcast, he claimed he once played in Las Vegas to hit the million-dollar mark. It was one of the seven times he could bet his way to a million-dollar win, but on the other side, he lost millions of dollars on twenty-five occasions. There came a point when Barkley decided to put his gambling habit aside for some time, and his friends would later give him a reality check about his love for wagering.

“What happened was, I quit gambling for two years and I always keep the same group of guys. I said, ‘I miss gambling.’ They’re like, ‘Why don’t you start gambling again?’ I said, ‘Man, I was getting out of hand’. They’re like… ‘You’re just a f***ing idiot… we’ll be sitting there, you’d be up three-four hundred thousand dollars, we’re like ‘Chuck, let’s go, you’re good for the night’. And in my head I’m saying, ‘Nah, we’re not leaving these motherf***ers out without winning a million dollars,” said Charles Barkley.

Charles Barkley, however, might have stopped trying to hit the million-dollar mark every single time now, given that Dana White’s revelation suggested that he was content with the $600k win at his party. It remains unknown how many more stories Dana White has with his celebrity friends that can surprise the world.
