Controversial decisions have become a recurring theme in UFC, leaving fans scratching their heads. Lately, there have been many UFC decisions that have led fans to question the criteria judges base their judging on. One recent fight that added fuel to this ongoing debate was the clash between Kai Kara-France and Amir Albazi at UFC Vegas 74.

Throughout the fight, Kara-France showed his exceptional striking skills and his impressive fight IQ. However, judges scored the decision in favor of Albazi, something that none of the viewers seem to agree with. Kara-France‘s longtime friend and teammate, Israel Adesanya, was one of the many who expressed their frustration over the outcome.

In an attempt to make sense of the situation, Kai Kara-France appeared on the MMA Hour Show with Ariel Helwani. Reflecting on his recent loss, he revealed a rather surreal moment from the afterparty, involving the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.

“It’s a weird feeling when you’re at the after party with Shaquille O’Neal and he’s DJing. You’re thinking ‘bruh I should be celebrating a win right now’ and it feels like I should be but I don’t have that W next to my name. Yeah it’s it’s a tough one, it’s hard to see how the judges gave it to him here.”

“I had a booth and Encore DJ Diesel (was there). I realized who’s that and then I was like oh that’s Shaq! He’s really good, you gotta love when someone’s just enjoying themselves. You can see that he just loves entertaining, loves people so it was cool to see him. See him go to work, feed off the crowd and and drop it as EDM. He had a few bangers in there so it was cool.”
