Francis Ngannou is winning. When the former UFC heavyweight champion exited the promotion earlier this year, his future was uncertain. Ngannou had disagreements with the UFC over issues of fighter pay, health insurance, and personal sponsorships, which saw him choose not to renew his expiring UFC contract and leave the promotion.

After some months of uncertainty, he signed a favorable contract with PFL and will be facing Tyson Fury in a boxing match this October in Saudi Arabia, thus fulfilling another one of his pre-UFC exit demands. And the Cameroonian recently got to visit Real Madrid at a training camp in Las Vegas. He seemed to have had a lot of fun and was honored by the club in a sweet gesture.

In a vlog, the heavyweight documented his visit to the Real Madrid camp in Las Vegas. He met with the players and had a sweet interaction with Brazilian football legend Roberto Carlos. Ngannou reminisced about watching him play for Brazil, which made the Brazilian smile. “I remember watching you as a kid—Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo Rivaldo,” he told a beaming Carlos.

Later, Francis was asked who his favorite Real Madrid legend was. After some hesitation with Cristiano Ronaldo, he settled on former captain and coach Zinedine Zidane.

“My favorite Real Madrid legend? I would say Cristiano [Ronaldo], but since Cristiano is still playing, let’s go for someone that is not there anymore. Zinedine Zidane, because after his career, he came back as a coach,” he said.

‘The Predator’ was gifted an honorary Real Madrid jersey bearing his name and Cristiano Ronaldo’s favorite number, 7. On being questioned about what it would take for him to become a full-time Real Madrid fan, Ngannou said the acquisition of Kylian Mbappe would do the trick. Ngannou, a football fan, had met Kylian Mbappe in Cameroon, where he served the Frenchman a traditional Cameroonian dish.
