Tim Kennedy has voiced his opinion again on the Brittney Griner situation. This time he took to Twitter to speak his mind. The former UFC middleweight has not hesitated in openly speaking about the issue and the things that the Biden administration has done regarding the swap. However, he also thought that the administration needs to do a lot more work on this issue.

Viktor Bout was a part of the exchange between Russia and the U.S.A. The pressure from the public caused the Biden administration to go ahead with the issue. If not for the swap, Brittney Griner was due to face 9 years in prison for her alleged crimes.

Tim Kennedy certainly expects the Biden administration to work more on this issue. Kennedy wrote, “Anyone that had anything to do with releasing the world’s most prolific arms dealer Viktor Bout aka “The Merchant Of Death” can not utter the phase “gun control” ever.”

The former UFC middleweight has called Viktor Bout as ‘Merchant of death’ in the tweet. He made his stance clear by implying that the U.S. is the loser in the trade.

The fans and followers of Tim Kennedy had mixed reactions to the tweet. Some were in agreement that the deal was a loser for the U.S.A. while some suggest that the Griner swap is a positive one.

The former UFC middleweight is not the only fighter to voice his opinion on the issue. Derek Brunson also voiced his opinion about the deal through a tweet. Also, Joe Rogan and Sean O’Malley also discussed this issue on Joe Rogan‘s podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience.

Also, according to Tim Kennedy, the job is only half done on Griner‘s release. He is advocating on behalf of all the other people held in Russia. Tim Kennedy is referring to Paul Whelan, who faces jail based on espionage. The Biden administration has denied such charges and has said that they have not forgotten about Paul Whelan.
