His son Dale Earnhardt Jr. has talked about his relationship with his dad. Earnhardt was talking to Joe Rogan on the popular podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. In episode 1196, which came three years ago, Dale Jr. discussed his father. He also talked about his father’s personality and what he learned from him.
Joe Rogan asked Dale Jr. if he ever learned things from his father. Dale was very open in his answer and discussed how his father never taught him a thing about racing.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. flourished under his father’s trust
Discussing his initial days, he said, “he was the strangest dude but it can’t. He didn’t really, but once. So I started racing that car and I had great success. We won six or seven races the first year. We won another six or seven races the second year of championships in both seasons, so I mean the choice to put me in that car worked out better than he probably ever imagined ever. “
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is called the ‘pied piper’ of Daytona. He won the most popular driver award 15 consecutive times from 2003 to 2017. He currently competes part-time at the NASCAR Xfinity series. Dale Jr. is also an analyst for NASCAR on NBC.
Earnhardt Jr. didn’t learn to race from his dad
Dale further added details of his relationship with his father and said ” we ended up winning championship two in a row so he is thinking damn this little you know can drive a car and that’s when our relationship completely changed that’s when I had his arm around me we were doing sh*t together. We had sponsored deals and promotions together. We were doing photo shoots together I saw him all the time and we talked about all kinds of you know. We talked about life girls and everything but racing, you know.”

The Earnhardt family has ruled the NASCAR circuit for years. The family has something that creates great race drivers.
