Max Holloway is amazing, but his character in UFC 5 is a real treat for the eyes…near-sighted eyes, that is! The game has taken years to come into being, with stunning graphics and revolutionary mechanics that are sure to make it a hit among fans. The gaming community wants nothing more than a realistic UFC experience but being hilariously inaccurate might do too, if only for a moment.

Deemed as the ‘celebrity deathmatch version of Max Holloway’ by fans, his character looks like a crossover between a caveman and the cartoon. With fans trolling, now ‘Blessed’ himself has reacted to this, seemingly confused about how to respond.

Back in 2020, EA released UFC 4. Fans were quick to point out how Conor McGregor‘s character looked ‘completely terrible’. Now, before the news reached Holloway, it obviously reached the fans who went on to say that this time, it’s even worse. The image went floating through the internet and reached the fighter who had a fairly convincing reaction.

Everything about the leaked character’s image is wrong from Holloway’s tattoos to the face. Fans sarcastically pointed out how the two looked “virtually identical.” This wouldn’t be the first or the last time a game has made a personality look oddly different.

The game dropped a great trailer earlier and that bit was quite well received. From unrivaled Frostbite graphics to all-new damage systems #UFC5 is as real as it gets” EA Sports had tweeted alerting fans of the game’s arrival. On seeing a clip of him getting TKOed in-game by Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway had jokingly rated the game “A solid -100 out of 10. Might be for personal reasons tho.”

The revamped and ‘improved’ UFC 5

The game is meant to be a huge improvement from the previous versions and is all set to be released on October 27. This puts the game up for release just a day before Ngannou goes up against Fury for the first time. Gamers have been looking forward to this for three years now. So, the messed-up player model can very well be a false image floating around. Some fans suspect it’s a still from the development stage and the fighter actually looks just fine in-game.

UFC 5 will also feature boxing icons such as Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson fighting inside the octagon. The standard edition will have Alexander Volkanovski and Valentina Shevchenko on the cover while the Deluxe Edition will feature none other than ‘The Last Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya.
