Hollywood icon and WWE superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson definitely knows how to make an impression! Why? Well, recently the Fast and Furious star surprised some unsuspecting tourists who were onboard a Hollywood homes tour bus. And what unfolded left ‘The Rock’s fans buzzing ever since!

What’s more – it looks like this gesture from the Hollywood superstar has sparked a wave of emotions inside his ‘African brother’s heart. We’re talking about African UFC welterweight prodigy Themba Gorimbo. Yes – this is the same Gorimbo, who received much-needed philanthropic support from the 51-year-old Hollywood sensation. So, what’s all the fuss about?

Dwayne Johnson surprises a bus full of tourists

Recently, Dwayne Johnson took to his Instagram handle to share an amusing encounter with some tourists who were taking a tour of Hollywood’s celebrities’ homes. The crowd of fans were onboard a bus, when ‘the Rock’ decided to surprise them with an appearance out of the blue. Driving parallel to the tour bus, the ‘Black Adam’ star took his time to interact with the tourists. As expected, the crowd of tourists was taken aback – and started recording this once-in-a-lifetime moment on their smartphones. 

But that’s not all – the actor also added a touch of humor to his surprise. ‘The Rock’ humorously asked, “Hey guys, do you know where I could find ‘The Rock’? [tourists are shocked] How are you guys doing? Alright I gotta ask – ‘Did he take you to my house yet?’” When one fan informed him they were yet to visit his house, Johnson quipped, “Okay, good! Keep it that way![Everybody laughs] See you guys!”

Taking to his IG handle, Johnson posted the encounter with a hilarious caption: “Hey I just wanna see the Rock. If you Hollywood visitors ever see a big ol’ pick up truck (truck emoji) rolling up on your tour bus – don’t be afraid, it’s just the People’s Champ lookin’ for free tacos and having fun (hand wave emoji) Enjoy my hood and stay away from my house (laugh emoji)  (this kinda stuff is always the best part of fame ~ lots of happy faces;).”

Themba Gorimbo draws inspiration from ‘The Rock’

It seems like this heartwarming moment has struck a chord with Themba Gorimbo. Why? Well, he took to ‘The Rock’s IG post’s comments section to express his love for the Hollywood actor’s humility. So, what’s he saying?

Taking to the same IG post, Gorimbo commented: “Haha bro love this energy. You make people’s days and lives just with your presence. I aspire to be like you one day [red-heart emoji].”

For those of you who aren’t up to speed – ‘The Rock’ recently gifted Gorimbo a house in Miami. But why is Johnson so close to this UFC prodigy? Well, it seems like the African MMA fighter’s struggles and hardships have resonated with that of the Hollywood superstar. 

After Gorimbo shared his struggles on social media, the story of him having a mere $7 in his bank account reminded Johnson of his early days of struggle. Ironically enough, ‘The Rock’s movie production company is also named ‘Seven Bucks Productions’  – a testament and direct reference to the amount of cash the Hollywood star had on him before he signed with the WWF (now WWE). Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that ‘The Rock’ shared some of his blessings with Gorimbo.

Whatever the case, one thing’s for sure – Themba Gorimbo considers Johnson as a true source of motivation. Keeping aside all the fame and fortune, the duo share a similar rags-to-riches story.
