He has been training in BJJ for a while and has been trained by former UFC fighter Tom DeBlass. The ‘Venom’ actor recently got a BJJ promotion after he defeated Gavin Marsh in a BJJ competition and his trainer Tom DeBlass applauded his commitment and hard work, after congratulating the man on his well-deserved promotion.

Hardy has a number of gold medals that he earned by besting some really well-trained, professional BJJ fighters. His purple belt now ranks him amongst some of the sharpest and most well-trained celebrities who are experts in BJJ as well.

UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan is the proud owner of a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Actor Ashton Kutcher has a brown belt in the discipline – the same as Hollywood actor and former WWE fighter Dave Bautista (Batista).

Actor and comedian, Russell Brand, is at par with Tom Hardy as they both have purple belts in BJJ.
