One advantage of being a big PPV star is that you never have a shortage of opponents. Conor McGregor is one such massive PPV star both inside and outside the octagon. Several fighters have called out the Irishman in the hopes of a bog bout, including Jake Paul.

However, McGregor is not just a PPV star. He has a lethal left hand that helped him reach the upper echelons of superstardom. Anyone who calls him out must also be ready to take one of those vicious counter hooks. Recently, a wrestling legend came out and said he believed Jake Paul could handle what McGregor would throw.
Ric Flair believes in Jake Paul’s chances against Conor McGregor
Ric Flair is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. The 73-year-old Tennessee native was a successful amateur wrestler himself. Flair also had an impressive pro-wrestling career spanning almost 50 years. Therefore, his opinions hold their own weight in combat sports and professional wrestling.

‘The Nature Boy’ had a few comments for YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul, on the latest episode of his ‘To Be The Man’ podcast. Commenting on Paul’s latest fight with Anderson Silva, Flair said Paul to not call out Mike Tyson.
Talking about Paul’s chances against McGregor or Canelo Álvarez, said (h/t EWrestling News), “Conor, I think he could handle. I don’t know about Canelo… Conor can’t use the wrestling skills, they can’t use the submissions. You know what I mean?”

‘The Problem Child’ has been trying to get ‘The Notorious’ one’s attention for a long time now. However, a fight between the pair is far from materializing. With his recent win over a seasoned veteran like Silva, Paul made a strong case for himself against an opponent like McGregor.
Jake Paul called out McGregor to join the fighters union
Prior to his fight against Silva, Jake Paul made a bet that if he won, Silva would join him in starting a fighters union. Paul has repeatedly expressed his intentions to start a union for all fighters across combat sports. While many consider it a part of his gimmick, Paul has remained firm in his resolve.

After agreeing on the bet with ‘The Spider,’ Paul asked McGregor to stop being selfish and asked him to join the union. In an interview he gave to The Mac Life, he said, “You’ve been pretty selfish at this point in your whole entire career. What have you done for a lot of fighters?” asked Paul.
