Dillon Danis pulled out of his scheduled fight against KSI earlier this year. The bout was to be the Bellator fighter’s boxing debut. But, his pull-out at the last moment saw him being accused of dodging and being scared to fight. In a recent appearance on the ‘Full Send’ podcast, the 30-year-old revealed the reason for his cancellation and told the hosts that he had been dealing with his father’s death around the time the fight was scheduled.

This is why his upcoming opponent Logan Paul has insisted on a clause that would see Danis pay the WWE star $100,000 if he pulls out without a good reason. But, just in case, an unexpected fighter has been announced as backup for the fight, according to multiple reports.

Bare Knuckle star to be backup for Dillon Danis in bout against Logan Paul

Platinum’ Mike Perry will reportedly be the backup fighter if Dillon Danis decides to pull out from his boxing match against Logan in October. Perry is a former UFC fighter and a bona fide bare-knuckle boxing star in BKFC promotions.

Fans have pointed out that ‘Platinum’ would be a much more formidable opponent for Paul. Danis has just two professional MMA fights on his record, while Perry is a combat sports veteran with 22 fights on his record.
