Dillon Danis vs. Logan Paul turned out to be a proverbial dumpster fire. They faced each other in a six-round boxing match in the co-main event of the KSI vs. Tommy Fury main event. Paul dominated the fight for the entire six rounds.

In the sixth round, Danis tried to guillotine choke the WWE star but failed and stumbled on the ground. This caused him to be disqualified and Logan Paul was declared the winner. This led to a mass brawl, with around thirty people storming the ring. However, even after all this, Danis took to social media to boast, prompting a response from his arch-rival in BJJ.

After the defeat, Danis took to his official Instagram account and posted a black-and-white picture of him in the ring. Perhaps in an attempt to excuse his atrocious performance against the WWE star and remind people that he had a jiu-jitsu background and was not a striker. The New Jersey native captioned the post “The Jiu Jitsu Kid.”

His old BJJ foe Gordon Ryan took this opportunity to remind him of his BJJ record. “18-16” he commented on the post. Ryan had made an appearance for his opponent Paul in the last pre-fight conference for their bout where the two had an exchange. The two grapplers have a rivalry dating back to their 2017 bout at ADCC, which Ryan won by referee decision. They’ve been exchanging insults and challenges on social media since then, with Ryan criticizing Danis for his boxing battle against KSI and Danis accusing Ryan of taking steroids.

The drama and bad blood were not restricted to the co-main event. The main event between KSI and Tommy Fury also had its fair share of heated moments with a controversial ending.

KSI felt he had won the fight and rejoiced in his corner, but the judges scored it 57-57, with two of them scoring it 57-56 in favor of Fury1. KSI labeled it a robbery and stated that he intended to file an appeal. After defeating Logan Paul in 2019, this was KSI’s second professional bout. The whole card disappointed and exasperated fans, who were outraged at the quality of the fights and the fiasco that the main event and co-main events turned into.
