Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao was one of the biggest fights in combat sports history. What if it were to happen a second time? Joe Rogan and Ice Cube are on board for the boxing greats to lock horns in the ring once again. The UFC commentator hosted the popular rapper in a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. The pair talked for over two hours on several topics, including boxing great, Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather and Pacquiao squared off in the ring in 2015 in what became the biggest fight in boxing history. That record is in place even today. Despite Mayweather walking out with a unanimous decision win that night, many claim Pacquiao was the rightful winner. Unsurprisingly, such comments made way for rematch discussions. With Mayweather touring the world for exhibition matches, talks of a second fight against Manny Pacquiao also surfaced. Rogan brought this up while discussing Mayweather, and his guest chimed in with some insights.

In episode #2004 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan commented on how great Floyd Mayweather is. He was in awe of the undefeated boxer’s in-ring skills and observed how he stays on top against much younger boxers in his exhibition fights. Then, he brought up the Pacquiao talks.
Rogan said, “They’re talking about him fighting Pacquiao. They’re doing it again. I’d watch that.” Ice Cube responded, “Yeah. I mean, hell yeah. I don’t think age should keep you from checking out somebody you know who’s a master.”
Rogan added, “Especially if he’s fighting someone his age.” Pacquiao is 44 whereas Mayweather is 46. Hence, there will not be any issues of it being a mismatch.
Ice Cube then chimed in saying, “Yeah. It’s two masters going at it. And age is just a number. It’s really just a number.” The 54-year-old also shared Rogan’s reverence for Mayweather’s craft. As excited as the pair may be, Mayweather himself had debunked any claims of a Pacquiao rematch last year.
