Former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion, Henry Cejudo is an elite name in combat sports. Before entering MMA, he was a wrestler and claimed an Olympic gold medal in Beijing.
Despite initial struggles in the UFC, he grew as a fighter and ended Demetrious Johnson’s six-year-long 13-fight win streak. This win solidified his name among the casual fans which got him into the limelight. Following his retirement, he continues to remain relevant, and he may have just secured a bout against the biggest name in boxing.
‘The King of Cringe’ posted a photo on Instagram where he is pictured facing Floyd Mayweather. The former fighter wrote, “It’s going down! The Triple C Vs The Olympic bronze medalist @floydmayweather #staytune”.

Though Cejudo has retired, he has always been vocal about a comeback. This is the norm in combat sports, as in 2020 we saw names like Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr return. Furthermore, next week will see Ben Askren return to action against Jake Paul.
Hence, per the former UFC champion’s post, it won’t be a real surprise to see ‘Triple C’ back, but if his opponent is Floyd Mayweather, it will go down as a monumental shock.
Dana White and Floyd Mayweather are working on an enormous deal
Floyd Mayweather also posted a picture with Dana White and Nobu Sakakibara a few minutes before Cejudo’s post. ‘Money’ Mayweather wrote, “TUNE IN! We’re working on a huge deal! @danawhite @nobu_sakakibara”.

Dana White is smiling in the picture and looks thrilled, which could indicate a big fight deal between UFC and Mayweather. The 50-0 boxer and the UFC President have a good business relationship as they have pulled off the Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fight in 2017.
It generated millions and was one of the most successful PPV events of all time. Now, they could look to eclipse the same with a monster exhibition.
‘Money‘ Mayweather is one of the smartest men in boxing and knows how to get the best for himself from his events. If he engages in a bout against ‘The Messenger’ he could add more moolah to his account. Do you think the fight with Triple C is a thing, or is it just another cringe from the ‘King of Cringe’?
