Dillon Danis pulled out of the boxing match against KSI last time out. Hence, Misfits Boxing took extra caution this time and found a backup replacement for ‘El Jefe’ in the form of former UFC and current BKFC fighter Mike Perry. Although he is the backup fighter, there are chances that he might end up fighting Logan Paul on October 14th.

Mike Perry has been making waves in the BKFC ever since he joined the promotion in 2021. He is currently undefeated with three wins in a row. Meanwhile, ‘Platinum’ has found himself in a crossover boxing event, and for a moment, it seemed as if he would fight Logan Paul. Let’s take a look at what transpired.

Dillon Danis had been trolling Logan Paul’s fiancee, Nina Agdal, in the build-up to their fight this weekend. However, the Danish model had enough of the online insults and filed a lawsuit against Conor McGregor‘s friend. As such, Danis briefly teased, pulling out of the fight, when Mike Perry appeared to claim that he was fighting Paul at the Manchester Arena.

In a video posted on his Twitter (X) handle, Perry said, “It’s official guys. I am in.” This video created a lot of stir on social media regarding the Misfits X DAZN event. However, Dillon Danis later shared another social media post, confirming that he will indeed be there to fight Logan Paul on October 14th. However, the promoters have added another stipulation so that the event does not go to waste.

‘Platinum’ could step in if Danis pulls the plug mid-fight

In a recent interview with ‘TMZ’, Mike Perry claimed that there has been a new stipulation added to the Danis-Paul fight. He stated that the promoters told him that if Dillon Danis made it to the fight and decided to leave the ring, they would instantly insert Perry into the fight as Logan Paul’s opponent.

“If Danis gets in the ring, answers the bell, and walks out of the ring to say that he was there and he showed up, I would still get in the ring and I would fight Logan,” said Mike Perry. However, Dillon Danis recently appeared in a public workout session ahead of the fight. It seems like he’s ready to compete in his first-ever boxing match.
