The UFC 292 brought a massive turnaround in the career of the famed UFC Bantamweight Sean O’Malley. ‘Sugar’ achieved the UFC Bantamweight gold, finishing his rival, Aljamain Sterling, with a superb TKO in the main event of the night. But his victory has also sparked a million-dollar question about his next rival. While most UFC fans were predicting that he would choose a fellow Bantamweight as his next opponent, ‘Sugar’ revealed his plans were a bit different.

Most followers are already aware of O’Malley’s affinity towards the sport of boxing. They have also noticed how the first ever UFC champ-champ, Conor McGregor, gained an exemption from his UFC contract to compete in a boxing bout against the legendary boxer, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. At the post-UFC 292 press conference, ‘Sugar’ also revealed the name of a famous boxer whom he would like to fight next. However, another noted boxer already had O’Malley on his radar.

The viewers of ‘Sugar’s’ post-UFC 292 press conference might know that he never called out the noted 25-year-old boxer, Ryan Garcia. Still, it was a Twitter feud between the two that worsened the situation. O’Malley had actually expressed his desire to go for a boxing bout against the famed boxer, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, in his post-UFC 292 press conference.

But Garcia, who had suffered a KO loss against Davis in his previous bout, didn’t take ‘Sugar’s’ words pretty well. He took to his Twitter and put out a tweet addressing O’Malley where he asked him to “stop talking” about boxing.

But, looking at O’Malley’s often outrageous nature, most fans might have realized that he would not take this verbal jab from Garcia lying down. The Helena native obliged the expectations of the fans with a mocking reply for Garcia. He retweeted Garcia’s tweet along with a question for him.

O’Malley was equally up to the task and chose Garcia’s first-ever career loss against ‘Tank’ Davis to return fire at him. However, Garcia quickly decided to move from verbal to physical with O’Malley. He mentioned in his next message that he would gladly step inside the boxing ring to give a reality check to O’Malley. He also retweeted O’Malley’s tweet with a caption.

Well, with the series of deriding tweets flying around, several fans might already be awaiting this bout. But, ‘Sugar’ had also called out one of his former UFC opponents in his post-bout octagon interview. If he goes for a boxing bout next, UFC fans will have to await his return for witnessing his first title defense bout.
