Former multi-weight boxing world champion, Claressa Shields moved to MMA recently. She made a triumphant debut in a recent PFL card as well. However, in a recent interview, Shields revealed her frustration over not getting compensated enough despite being a multi-time world champion.

Yeah, I’m saying like I’m a three time division World Champion two time Olympic gold medal is fascinating any other you know person in history male or female? And where’s my million dollars that you know, I haven’t been paid a 1 million for for boxing,” said Shields.

Showtime wouldn’t put me on a linear five pay per view after my own review show on Fight TV, you know, and he’s like, Look, after you beat the biggest people in the baddest people in the world. You should see the checks. You see the cars the mansions is like I like I put myself through so much hard work to be successful and dominate these girls. And it’s like, Where is my Where is my money? You know, and I just wasn’t getting anywhere recognition where’s my stardom in boxing just wasn’t giving it to me,” Shields said further.

What kind of an impact can Claressa Shields make in MMA?

Shields is hands down one of the best women’s boxers to ever live. However, MMA is a different type of sport. But given she is only 26 and is a world champion athlete, one can expect her to adapt to the situations really quickly.

Maybe not right away, but with time one can expect Shields to become an impressive figure in the world of MMA> Also, considering her scary striking accolades, she might become a nightmare once the other aspects become a mandate for her. Definitely, Shields brings a different type of flavor to the sport.

She is currently a PFL fighter. Fans will be looking forward to seeing her eventually make it to the UFC and compete with the elites.
