Recently, Jon Jones, one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time, met boxing sensation, Gervonta Davis.
They even trained together ahead of Jones’ heavyweight debut at UFC 285 against Ciryl Gane. Jones‘ return to the UFC after a long hiatus was highly anticipated. His opponent, Ciryl Gane was not someone to be underestimated. This could be the reason why Jones opted to train with boxing star Gervonta Davis. Jones’ hard work eventually paid off as he won his fight against Gane in the first round to become UFC heavyweight champ.

Days before the fight, Jones met with Davis, and the meeting was captured in the UFC 285 Embedded Vlog Series – Episode 4. In the video, Jones can be seen joking around with Davis and asking him about his power, which Davis is known for in the boxing world.

Davis recently had one of the biggest fights of his career. He faced Ryan Garcia in one of the biggest boxing events of recent times. ‘Tank’ won the big fight via a 7th-round TKO by a liver shot that forced Garcia to take a knee. Davis dominated most of the fight and even knocked Garcia down in the second round. Davis continues to be one of the most exciting and dominant fighters in the boxing world.

Just after his win against Ciryl Gane, Jones confidently called out one of the best heavyweights of all time, Stipe Miocic. Jones even hinted at their fight taking place in July during international fight week. However, things are not going as planned as of now.
Although the exact reason wasn’t revealed, many MMA analysts have stated that the Jones vs Miocic fight is not happening during international fight week. Although both Jones and Miocic are interested in facing each other, there are other problems coming in the way.
