YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is gearing up for his seventh professional boxing match against Nate Diaz. Meanwhile, he recently appeared in a podcast hosted by UFC prospect Bo Nickal. Both of them engaged in a friendly competition, but Jake Paul bit the dust and paid up after losing the contest.

Nickal and Paul have been collaborating on a variety of projects since the unbeaten UFC fighter and NCAA wrestler signed with his sports media firm ‘Betr’. They even had a brief training session together before. This time, Nickal embarrassed Paul at his own game. While Paul is serious as his bout against Nate Diaz inches closer, he did not say no to some fun with the UFC star on his podcast. To top it off, they used this friendly race to contribute to a better cause.

Bo Nickal started his podcast on YouTube called ‘Bo Gets Betr’ not too long ago. The second episode of his podcast had Jake Paul as the guest, where both fighters engaged in a friendly boxing skill challenge. There was a condition which the loser had to oblige. If either of them failed the contest, they’d have to pay up $1000 dollars to the charity of the other’s choice.

The challenge in question was landing as many punches as they could without missing the reflex ball. However, before they began, both Nickal and Paul noted that such a challenge did not indicate the boxing skills of a fighter. The UFC star went first and hit the ball eight times. When it came time for ‘The Problem Child’, he could only manage six hits before missing one.

Surprisingly, the UFC middleweight showed better hand-eye coordination than Jake Paul. In the end, ‘The Problem Child’ had to pay, but Nickal donated that amount to Paul’s foundation, ‘Boxing Bullies’. It was all fun and games for now, but soon Jake Paul will have to shift his focus to his upcoming fight.

How will Paul fare in a 10-round bout against Nate Diaz?

For the first time in his budding boxing career, Jake Paul will go 10 rounds in a boxing match. After losing to Tommy Fury, his first opponent who actually had a background in boxing, ‘The Problem Child’ reverted to facing  MMA fighters and will soon face one of the biggest names in the sport, Nate Diaz.

As the fight approaches, Diaz has been on top of the mind games. For the second time in a row, the ex-UFC star left an interview abruptly, in typical Diaz style, leaving both Paul and Ariel Helwani lost for words. The interview started with Diaz looking hesitant for a bit, and soon after, Diaz got up from his chair and walked out. Although he said, “I’ll be right back,” he didn’t follow through.

Paul has shown how well he fares against MMA fighters inside the squared circle. He has successfully dispatched Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva before. And now he takes on the Stockton native, who people believe could actually defeat Jake Paul. In fact, many fans and pros are expecting Diaz’s legendary endurance to be the key factor in his success.

Both Diaz and Paul appear to be locked in as fight day approaches. The result of this fight could be a turning point in both of their careers. While Diaz could make a successful return to MMA with a win, Paul would get a huge boost in confidence if he can pull off an upset against the MMA icon.
