WATCH: Francis Ngannou Knocks Down Tyson Fury, Boxing Fans React- ‘LFG’

The Battle of the Baddest definitely lived up to its much-anticipated hype. At last, the fight gods have shown mercy on us fans, especially after the constant cancellations of the main PPV events. And oh boy, Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury cooked a thrilling and delicious meal in the ring.

Ngannou made his debut in boxing, while, Fury has taken on the challenging task of fighting against the unpredictable but mighty heavyweight. Regardless, the crux of the matter is that ‘Predator’ has been trained by none other than the ‘Goat’ Mike Tyson, and the training seems to have yielded some delectable fruits.

Combat enthusiasts were of the belief that it would be much harder for Ngannou to fight against Fury. This was considering the fact that the ‘Gypsy King’ is the heavyweight champion of boxing while Ngannou is roughly new to the sport. The 10-round match is a new thing for ‘Predator’ but regardless, he handled it pretty well.

Despite being a newcomer Francis Ngannou has done something which was even more difficult for seasoned boxers. The former heavyweight champion of the UFC knocked ‘Gypsy King’ in the third round after going toe-to-toe with Fury. The combat world couldn’t keep their calm as they took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their opinion.

One of the fans counted that Ngannou proved his mettle and it didn’t matter if he won or lost the fight

Another was flabbergasted by Ngannou’s sheet masterclass

Furthermore, a fan stated that the MMA community bashed Ngannou for his sparing. However, when it comes to the real thing he plays hard.

Another reminded everyone that Ngannou’s punch power is not something to be taken lightly

The excitement surrounding the fans was evident when one of the fans added the “LFG’ comment

One of the fans even termed Ngannou as their hero

Last but not least, a fan added that he couldn’t believe what he was witnessing

Ngannou’s epic performance surely left a mark, despite the outcome. The fans only expressed the same, adding that the sheer masterclass by Ngannou was something that was not expected from him attributed to his newcomer status. And even his opponent agrees!

 Tyson Fury praises Ngannou’s performance

The match was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride with both adversaries at their best. Ngannou gave a tough fight to the Briton, even some deeming it the Predator’s best performance to date. Ultimately Fury emerged victorious through the split decision. Thus, Ngannou’s performance got a word of praise from his opponent.

In the aftermath of the event, Fury had a conversation with the press wherein he added that Ngannou gave him his toughest fight. He said “ He’s a hell of a fighter and a hell of a lot better boxer than we thought he would be. He’s an awkward man and a good puncher and I respect him a lot. He’s given me one of my toughest fights of the last 10 years.”
