The 56-year-old confessed about an MMA fighter whom he respected a lot. ‘The Baddest Man on the planet’ revealed that he saw Kimbo Slice on his deathbed while having a heart attack.
Kimbo Slice scared Mike Tyson on his deathbed
Iron Mike looks like the toughest guy to have ever lived, but he is also human. In a chat with BadouJack on the HotBoxin podcast, Tyson recalled the fight and addressed how the MMA legend had died.
Mike Tyson said, “I was there when he died. I was at that fight and where was that fight, Virginia, I was there when he died. He fought his body guard.”
“Well, he died it in the hospital but I could say the way he was. Look it was just really scary.”
Several reports suggested that Slice passed away due to a severe cardiac arrest. The fighter truly had the potential to become one of the greatest of all time but was taken away too soon. Despite his short stint in the Octagon, he garnered the respect of a boxing legend such as Mike Tyson.

The sad part about Slice’s UFC career remains that he never had the biggest fights. Therefore, his genuine quality was not exposed to the fans of MMA. Slice competed for the first time against Roy Nelson, losing by TKO in the second round.
After defeating Houston Alexander in a 215-pound catchweight contest the following time, Kimbo Slice suffered a disappointing 1-2 record and was eventually removed from the UFC.
Kimbo Slice last fought Dada 5000 at Bellator 149, which he ended up winning. But, sadly, it was overturned after he “tested positive for the steroid nandrolone and also had an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio.“ (Source: MMA Fighting)
