Should Nate Diaz stick to boxing or take Jake Paul's $10 million MMA challenge?

Former UFC star Nate Diaz’s maiden boxing outing didn’t turn out how he wanted, as he lost via a unanimous decision to Jake Paul. But it seems like he’s not done with the YouTuber-turned-boxer just yet. The Stockton native recently shared an Instagram post, hinting he might go for a boxing rematch against ‘The Problem Child’.

From the onset of his clash against Jake Paul, Nate Diaz didn’t seem to faze the 27-year-old with his punches. It wasn’t the case when the former Disney star landed his punches. However, the Stockton native lasted the entire 10-round bout, even though he had been knocked down once, but his business with the Cleveland native doesn’t seem like it’s done.

“F*** this watching shit,” wrote Nate Diaz while sharing a snap from his 2023 bout against Jake Paul. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old, who recently triumphed over Mike Tyson, has been calling for an MMA fight against the former UFC star. Paul even put forth a $10 million payout for Diaz for a fight under the PFL banner, but the veteran doesn’t seem so excited about that offer.

Besides, Nate Diaz has a reason why he despises Jake Paul, and has hinted at returning to the squared circle once again to fight him. That reason, of course, is Mike Tyson losing to the YouTuber-turned-boxer recently.

Nate Diaz and his reservations about not taking the Paul fight payday

For most people, stepping inside the boxing ring for a matchup at 58 years old didn’t seem like a good move, even if your name is Mike Tyson! But guess what? The youngest boxing heavyweight champion in history showed the world that he’s still got something left in him. It wasn’t a barnburner or the fight of the night, but Tyson lasted the entire eight-round bout against Paul. One of the ardent Tyson supporters during this entire affair was Nate Diaz.

What’s your perspective on:

Should Nate Diaz stick to boxing or take Jake Paul's $10 million MMA challenge?

Have an interesting take?

“Let’s go Mike. F*** Jake,” Diaz tweeted a day before that boxing match. Meanwhile, there’s a reason why Jake Paul’s $10 million offer doesn’t seem to interest the Stockton native owing to a recent legal issue with Fanmio boxing. Following his boxing match against former UFC star Jorge Masvidal, Diaz would claim that the company did not deliver on their promise, as they owed him a $9 million sum for that fight. They promised him a $10 million payout, but according to the former UFC star, they only paid him $1 million.

Having been away for two years, fans are yearning to see Nate Diaz come back to the MMA scene. There are even speculations that maybe he’ll be fighting Conor McGregor in a trilogy bout, but there’s no development on that front either. So what do you think Diaz should do – return to MMA or take that $10 million offer from Jake Paul? Drop your comments below.
