Jake Paul caught the attention of the entire world of combat sports with a social media stunt. He claimed that he was banned from all events in the UFC and had to sneak into the Sphere to watch the Riyadh Season Noche UFC. He disguised himself pretty well and suited up to step into the arena for UFC 306. Needless to say, this act found its way to Dana White.
During the press conference for Dana White’s Contender Series season 8 week 6, a reporter asked White about his opinion on ‘The Problem Child’ sneaking into the UFC event because of the ban. White answered, “Nobody is banned from the UFC. Listen, that kid knows how to market and do his thing, and you know, all that, all that good sh**. But yeah. Jake Paul is welcome to come into UFC. He just can’t bring that, you know…”
White’s enmity with the Golden Boys Promotions’ boss Oscar De La Hoya is something that every fight knows about. The heat between the two of them is so strong that there are times White simply can’t contain his anger when the conversation shifts towards De La Hoya. However, if De La Hoya was present in the arena to witness the UFC mark its name in history with UFC 306, it could mean that there was no ban on someone like Jake Paul either. After all, White didn’t have any problems with the boxer like he did with De La Hoya.

However, the famed MMA analyst, Luke Thomas, has come forth with a piece of old news that proved that the UFC head honcho was lying about one thing. Thomas took to X and posted a picture that read, “Following Couture’s retirement in 2011, Dana White seemingly was done playing nice with Couture. He said that he didn’t respect Couture at all and that he’s happy he never has to work with him again. Couture has since been banned from attending UFC events as well.” He further wrote and wondered if Couture’s ban was still in effect.

White and Paul have trashed each other quite a few times on the internet. ‘The Problem Child’ previously bashed the UFC CEO for low fighter pay. Later, White responded with a reminder for Paul about the defeats in his professional career. However, the UFC head honcho has claimed that it was all good between them.
What is the relationship between Dana White and Jake Paul like?
The YouTuber-turned-professional boxer has a high IQ when it comes to marketing. He picks his fights selectively ensuring his reign in the headlines. It was indeed the reason why he chose to fight Mike Tyson, even though the former boxing champion is in his late 50s. And it is the same reason why he pulls pranks and stunts like sneaking into events.

But does White dislike Paul? Well, the answer is a simple no. Talking about his relationship with Paul, the UFC CEO once said, “I don’t f*cking hate Jake Paul… He’s always looking for attention, and he’s doing his thing. Whatever–it’s all good.” Nevertheless, the UFC boss was pretty upset with the way Paul carried out his business. Back when Paul fought Hasim Rahman Jr., White didn’t miss the chance to diss him. He said, “That’s not the business I’m in. I’m in a different business than that. I’m in the tough fight business.”
And as far as the ban on the celebrity boxer is concerned, White never really openly barred him from entering the premises. However, his words about nobody being banned from the UFC were apparently untrue. What are your thoughts on Dana White’s ban on Randy Couture?
