Talking about PPV numbers, Conor McGregor is without a doubt one of the best in the business. Who can forget UFC 229 where the event featured a grudge fight between him and Khabib Nurmagomedov? The event produced the biggest night in the sport’s 30-year history with 2.4 million PPV buys and a record live gate of $17.2 million. However, not every fighter is lucky to put up such huge numbers. Jed I. Goodman pointed out some numbers in a few recently concluded boxing fights that made McGregor cheerful.

Goodman noted in an X post, “Per WON: The latest PPV number for the Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal boxing match on television PPV would be 9,500 and you’d estimate it to work out to be around 30K. For Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry it’s at 7,500 and you’d work that out to be about 25K, but we’re days out from this one and 26 days from the other one, so Paul vs. Perry should end up being the larger of the two.” All four fighters have had a bit of rivalry with McGregor and the Dubliner took the opportunity to mock his rivals. Conor McGregor reposted it and wrote, “Nothing large even if you add the two.”

The fight between Jake Paul and Mike Perry earned a mere 67k total buys and the Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal fight earned roughly $5 million in total sales. Comparing that to McGregor’s numbers, it’s indeed pretty low. However, this is not the only problem McGregor has with ‘Platinum’. Perry lost the fight to Paul in the sixth round and faced a lot of criticism from many experts. His loss did not sit well with McGregor and he shared a message for the 32-year-old.

Conor McGregor shares his opinion on the famous Mike Perry loss

Mike Perry faced one of the biggest losses of his career when he was knocked out by Jake Paul. The 27-year-old’s power and superior boxing skills proved too hot to handle for the BKFC fighter. The fight came to an end in the sixth round when ‘The Problem Child’ finally knocked ‘Platinum’. Before the fight, McGregor was quite confident about Perry defeating Paul in their boxing clash.

At the BKFC Spain press conference, the Dubliner praised the 32-year-old and said, “You know, he’s had such a rise in the sport and now he’s up against a little dweeb of a thing in a fight this weekend. We’re all rooting for him! This [man] is the real deal.”

However, ‘Mystic Mac’ completely changed his opinion when Mike Perry lost the fight. McGregor is now a part-time owner of BKFC and it seems he has some power and is willing to use them against the 32-year-old. The 36-year-old seems super upset with Perry and decided to fire him via a post on X. He tweeted, “Hey Mike youre released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired”. Perry seemed unimpressed with the comments and made it clear that the former dual champion could not fire him.

However, with Conor McGregor coming out and mocking Mike Perry again, is this the beginning of a new feud? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
