Tyson Fury’s brother, Tommy Fury, is slowly turning into a renowned professional boxer. The 5-0 prospect is currently scheduled to fight Andy Bishop in June. Ahead of the clash, Fury was seen training with UFC veteran and former Strikeforce welterweight champion, Nick Diaz.

Though Tommy is currently undefeated, the quality of the opponents he has faced till now is questionable. And that includes his next opponent, Bishop, who has a professional record of 0-14. Many, including Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh, have questioned Fury’s choice of his next opponent. Nevertheless, the fight between Fury and Bishop will take place on the undercard of Dubois vs Dinu.

Certainly, training with the elder Diaz brother will help him in preparation. This is because the Stockton native is well known for his boxing skills.

But as Diaz is not a professional boxer, their training session raised a few eyebrows. This sparring could also imply that Diaz’s UFC return is imminent as he could have been looking to polish his boxing skills.

Will Nick Diaz return to the UFC anytime soon?

Diaz was in attendance at UFC 261 in Jacksonville, Florida. After the event, the Stockton native told Dana White that he wants to fight again in the UFC. The UFC President is open to this.

Diaz, who has been training regularly, is probably in the best shape of his life. However, there is no official date or opponent for him as of yet. Many observers named Khamzat Chimaev as a potential opponent, but others have suggested that it might be too much for Diaz to take on an up-and-comer after a six-year hiatus.

Diaz last fought at UFC 183 and lost a decision against Anderson Silva. However, it was later overturned to a no-contest as both fighters failed their drug tests.
