As Jake Paul emerged victorious over 58-year-old Mike Tyson, the entire world felt their heart-shattering. Being one of the most celebrated boxers, not a single soul wanted to see ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ get humbled in the squared ring. However, ‘The Problem Child’ wasn’t able to finish Tyson. And for that, the YouTuber-turned-professional boxer must have thanked himself after Dan Hooker revealed what he had planned.

In a recent conversation with ‘The Mac Life’, the New Zealander weighed in about his feelings on Paul vs. Tyson. He said, “He let him live, and I was just sitting there doing like a voodoo curse magic. If Jake Paul had knocked Mike Tyson out, I was wishing him a thousand years of bad luck.” Needless to say, Paul barely escaped from otherworldly consequences.

But the ‘Hangman’ wasn’t done. He continued to point out how Tyson went on for all eight 2-minute rounds in the fight against Paul. Despite the action and the viewership that the fight garnered, the former Kiwi kickboxer wasn’t convinced that it was an actual fight. He continued, “He lit Mike right there till the end. And what do you expect? It was like a sparring match!”

It’s not just Hooker who expressed doubts about the legitimacy of the fight. Popular Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone also scrutinized the fight along with a majority of fight fans from all over the world.

No doubt, Hooker wasn’t alone in presenting his disappointment at Jake Paul‘s latest win. Francis Ngannou and Rampage Jackson were two of many UFC stars to have expressed their hurt at Mike Tyson’s defeat.

UFC world lashes out at Jake Paul for his win against Mike Tyson

What’s your perspective on:

Did Jake Paul really beat Mike Tyson, or was it just a glorified sparring session?

Have an interesting take?

The former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou was left completely heartbroken at the outcome of Paul vs. Tyson. He took to X and gave ‘The Problem Child’ a warning for when the two of them would meet. He wrote, “Next time I see this [Jake Paul] guy I’m gonna give him 2 or 3 slaps.” Well, being a part of the PFL don’t look to be helping Paul at the moment.

But when Paul disrespected Conor McGregor for seemingly ducking fighting him, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson could take it no more. He tweeted, “Yo [Jake Paul] watch how you talk to MMA royalty,I’ll fight you in MMA noo weight class for no pay. That’s a great deal.. but i bet YOU won’t. Stop disrespecting people in my f—en sport homie. Y ou fighting Tyson was your last straw.. go back to boxing wrestlers.”

No doubt, Paul’s fame has skyrocketed in the boxing realm pretty fast, and the credit goes to his matchmaking skills. He has always targeted fighters who already had a big name in the fighting community like Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz. Allegations of the young boxer not facing boxers in their prime have also been a common criticism thrown his way. Perhaps he might have to bare his fangs at a young contender to escape the curses of the MMA and boxing community such as Dan Hooker.

What do you think of Hooker’s voodoo magic? Do you think ‘The Problem Child’ could have won against a prime Mike Tyson? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
