Is Jake Paul really scared of Ngannou and Ferreira, or is he just playing it up for laughs?

The world of martial arts has been hyped pretty loud with the former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, finally returning to the world of MMA after 2 years. He is all set to land against Renan Ferreira in an absolute showdown on the 19th of October, 2024, under the banner of the Professional Fighting League. The duo had already faced off against each other in the press conference for the fight. Now, as they faced off once again inside the MMA cage, the intensity of the moment splashed through the internet.

However, the heated face-off couldn’t stop the fight fans from laughing out loud. The reason? It was Jake Paul trying to separate the heavyweight mixed martial artists. Needless to say, the YouTuber-turned-professional boxer looked pretty tiny as he stood next to Ngannou and Ferreira.

Named ‘Battle of the Giants’, the fight is destined to entertain the fighting community to a great extent. But with ‘The Problem Child’ in the middle, things became comical. The intensity of the face-off was high during the press conference, as well. Right after that, Paul had stated that he couldn’t have done anything if a brawl broke out between the contenders. When an X account claimed, “Jake Paul was sh***ing himself while Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira faced off”, Paul responded with, “Can confirm I shit.”

The video of the face-off soon crossed the thresholds of the social media platforms. And the fighting community took over the comments section to express their thoughts. The fight fans even dragged in the UFC CEO, Dana White, into the conversation as they turned Paul into a laughing stock.

Many fans took note of how similar Paul’s act looked like that of the UFC head honcho. White has stood between fighters with fearsome rivalry to keep them from fighting during the face-off. Be it Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, or Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira, White has successfully prevented the fighters from going at each other’s throats at the face-offs. One such intense face-off that almost resulted in an all-out brawl took place at the weigh-ins for UFC 304 when Muhammad Mokaev went up against Manel Kape. But looking at Paul trying to separate Ngannou and Ferreira, the fight fans couldn’t help but laugh. One fan wrote, “Jake thinking he’s Dana White.” While another fan added, “Jake Paul wants to be Daddy Dana so bad.”

The fighting community also noticed the fear in Jake Paul’s eyes as the face-off got intense. One fan joked about it and commented, “Jake looks like he would rather be anywhere in the world but there.” Another fan reflected on the time when Paul called out Pereira for a fight. The comment read, “Jake Paul already looks scared and bro wants Poatan.”

‘The Problem Child’ indeed looked small beside Ngannou and Ferreira. Needless to say, the fighting community pushed forth some comments on the difference in the fighters’ sizes. One fan sarcastically wrote, “Jake rethinking being a heavyweight for sure.” Meanwhile, another fan assured that Paul couldn’t do anything to stop the heavyweights in case a brawl broke out during the face-off. The comment read, “Jake knows he can’t stop them if things go south.”

Similar emotions were shared on X, as well. One fan on X pointed out, “First time I am seeing Jake Paul looking so small…so used to see him with smaller.” Another comment read, “if it went down right then & there Jake would’ve been screwed lmao.” But the fans at X were quick to notice how Paul pulled in Ferreira for a good angle for a picture. The fan wrote, “lol Jake “keeping them apart” then pulling Renan in so him keeping them apart looks better…opponents.”

The excitement for Ngannou’s return to the MMA world emanated from every fight fan. And Paul’s act at the face-off sent waves of laughter throughout the fighting community.
