The 40-0 boxer recently made an appearance on the 145th episode of the ‘JRE MMA Show’. He told Joe Rogan how he was fighting Errol Spence Jr. just to get the people to approve him. However, he felt good after registering his 31st KO win last month. Terence Crawford said, “It’s a wonderful thing that I had to fight to get everybody’s approval.”

Furthermore, he mentioned that beating Errol Spence Jr. was perhaps the greatest moment of his career, and he was happy with the way he performed that night. “To finally secure the fight and perform the way that I performed, it was a great moment for me and my career,” said the unified welterweight champion. ‘Bud’ mentioned how people were discrediting him

Terence Crawford opened up on how most people thought about the fact that Errol Spence Jr. was bigger and stronger than him. That was what fired up him to prove the naysayers wrong. He stated, “Only thing they kept saying [is] how he’s gonna beat me is because he’s bigger and he’s stronger. That was it.” Also, they even dismissed his technical prowess, which he showcased tremendously during the fight. “That’s [his technique] something they wasn’t giving me credit for as well,” said the 40-0 boxer.

If that wasn’t enough, the critics disregarded what he had accomplished so far in his career and even the opponents he had faced to become the WBO champion. Crawford added, “They just always try to diminish my accomplishments and… who I was fighting.” The fact that most people thought of Errol Spence Jr. being the most fundamentally sound boxer made Crawford’s victory over the former champion that much sweeter.
