Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are finally ready to settle their differences in the squared circle. Despite months of back-and-forth, the fight previously fell apart on two different occasions. Now, the stage has been set in Saudi Arabia for February 25 for the young stars to slug it out.
While Jake Paul has built a reputation for himself with his boxing career, the same cannot be said for Tyson Fury‘s brother. The difference in the quality of opposition that both athletes have faced so far is apples and oranges. For this precise reason, ex-UFC star Brendan Schaub is skeptical about Fury getting the job done this weekend.
The 39-year-old recently discussed the fight on his YouTube channel. Evidently, Fury’s record so far did not impress Schaub, who gave his commentary on the upcoming fight. While Paul has names like Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley on his resume, Fury’s former opponents barely have wins more than losses.

The former UFC heavyweight is skeptical about Fury’s chances, owing to this record.
Brendan Schaub skeptical about Tommy Fury facing Jake Paul
In the clip, Schaub said, “There’s warming up and then there’s Tommy Fury’s record. Let me just go through it… His first fight was in 2018, the guy is 10-102…” Schaub added that it was a tough fight that Fury won off points. However, the next fight Fury got did not do his reputation any favor. Especially considering Jake Paul was going after reputed MMA veterans.

Additionally, Schaub added that Fury was not a power puncher. He said, “Anyone who has an eye for boxing isn’t going to say this guy is a power puncher in any freaking facet. He punches in volume.”
Schaub continued, “He wants to stay outside. He hates when it gets dirty. This is a nightmare of a matchup for Tommy Fury.”
The quality of his opposition is something fans have always held against Tommy Fury. However, Schaub is not alone in being skeptical about his chances. Recently, UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping also picked Paul to beat Fury in Saudi Arabia.
