Recently, UFC commentator Joe Rogan made a special appearance on Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin podcast. The duo talked about a variety of things, ranging from life, boxing, UFC, and even Joe Rogan Experience (Rogan’s podcast). Rogan has been at the top of the podcasting world for a long time and has a similar experience with combat sports as well. The veteran comedian holds multiple black belts in various martial arts and he is even a massive fan of the sport of boxing.

In the latest episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Rogan shed light on the moment he realized Floyd Mayweather is the best in the world. He highlighted a marquee match-up that saw him go head-to-head against Arturo Gatti.

Mayweather not only dominated Gatti, but he truly made it look easy. He secured an early knockdown in the first round and continued to dominate every single round, which eventually saw him secure a finish in the 7th.

Rogan went back down the memory lane to shed light on his performance and how it put him in a league of his own, he said,” See that was where you got to see the difference between Floyd Mayweather & everybody else. When Floyd Mayweather fought Gati you were like oh, there’s levels, there’s levels, that’s one of the most amazing things.”

Tyson suggested that it was the body shots that helped Mayweather set up the finish as he kept attacking the body. Rogan agreed with Tyson and was impressed with the game plan and how it was executed. He found that particular performance to be career-defining as he dubbed Mayweather’s boxing prowess just “So skillful”.

Mayweather in his career’s final outing fought former UFC champion Conor McGregor and then retired from the sport. This bout saw him improve his record to a prestigious 50-unbeaten streak. Since then, he has made appearances in various exhibition bouts against the likes of Logan Paul, Tenshin Nasukawa, and so on.
