Gervonta Davis added another win to his undefeated record. He handed 24-year-old Ryan Garcia his first professional loss with a TKO victory last weekend. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has shared his reaction to the fight in a recent video posted on his YouTube channel.
Israel Adesanya has one of the biggest wins in his career after defeating Alex Pereira in their fourth professional fight at UFC 287. He reclaimed his title after a devastating 4-punch combo that shut down ‘Poatan’ in the second round of the fight. Izzy has taken some time off after the huge win but is still actively watching other fights, including the Davis vs Garcia fight.

The match between the top lightweight contenders was a much-anticipated fight in the world of boxing. The fight between Garcia and Davis didn’t disappoint fans, as both fighters were able to land some significant punches on each other. However, ‘Tank’ was more in control of the fight than ‘King’ Ryan.

Gervonta Davis landed some significant power shots, one of them which dropped Ryan in the second round. But the turning point of the fight came when ‘Tank’ landed a brutal body shot that dropped Ryan in the seventh round and the fight was deemed to have ended. Davis is still undefeated. Moreover, there was no animosity between the two fighters as they were seen embracing each other after the fight.

‘The Last Stylebender’ shared a video on his YouTube channel as he gave his take on Davis’ brutal body that ended the fight. He described ‘Tank’s left-handed hook and said, “I call that the ghost [Davis’ body shot].” Izzy commended Ryan Garcia for trying to stay up after the brutal shot he had taken to his ribs.

Adesanya added, “That’s the ghost fist. That was it. It was glancing but he [Garcia] fought it for so long, though. That’s pain and for him not to get up, because he could hear the numbers and he wants to get up and he’s on his knees. He’s not even lying down.” The UFC champion noticed that Garcia tried his best to get up, but his body gave out. “He’s trying to fight it, but his body just shut down. Tried man, he tried,” said Adesanya. The Nigerian-born Kiwi fighter hilariously claimed that there might be a conspiracy. He said, “No breakfast though. That might be the conspiracy.”

Regardless of the outcome, it proved to be a great fight for the fans. This emphatic win made Davis claim and believe that he was “definitely” the face of boxing at the moment. We will have to wait and see how things pan out in the future.
