Team Khabib Nurmagomedov still clashes with Conor McGregor every chance they get. The rivalry that ‘The Notorious’ fueled still comes back to haunt him at the slightest hint of a mistake. And a few were made quite recently. In fact, this time around, just about everyone on the internet has a piece to bite out of the duo of McGregor and Dillon Danis.
The much-awaited and highly promoted fight between Dillon Danis and Logan Paul went down, and what ensued wasn’t anything anyone had seen before. The boxing match became a trolling bout for Team Conor’s Dillon Danis. Only if his Twitter antics were materialized by his moves inside the ring. The whole match ended rather anti-climactically but McGregor stands tall against the comments. Well perhaps except for this one.

Team Khabib Nurmagomedov sends a message to Conor McGregor
After Dillon Danis managed to troll Logan Paul and the entire viewership in one swoop, social media flooded with opinions. However, Conor McGregor still managed to support his teammate. He wasn’t going to back off just because the match was a huge disaster for Danis’.
Intentional or not, Danis did everything to avoid Paul inside the ring. However, he couldn’t avoid Khabib Nurmagomedov outside of the ring right after he beat Conor McGregor back in 2018. Danis was assaulted by ‘The Eagle’ after he infamously leaped from the cage. After McGregor praised Danis in a recent tweet, Team Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz made sure both the fighters remembered their past.
Slap team
— Ali Abdelaziz (@AliAbdelaziz00) October 15, 2023
McGregor praised Danis saying “What a show, brother! Well done! The world is excited for what’s next! #Legend”
And clearly, Abdelaziz was perhaps one of many who wasn’t excited about “what’s next”. Abdelaziz commented the words “slap team” under McGregor’s post after infamously claiming that both he and Nurmagomedov’s brother had individually slapped McGregor before. However, nobody knows how much truth there is to it. But as of yet, the Mystic Mac stands strong beside his friend and teammate.

McGregor still sides with Dillon Danis
Even though Logan Paul accused McGregor of abandoning Danis, the Irishman is quite clearly still in his corner. He acknowledged Danis’ performance after the fight and ensured that he put Paul down. Paul also managed to call out Conor McGregor and WWE legend Rey Mysterio in the same breath post-fight.
However, as of right now, it’s unsure whether or not a McGregor vs. Paul match would ever go down. McGregor has previously fought in a ring when he went toe-to-toe with Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather knocked out ‘The Notorious’ and took the win home. And since then, McGregor is yet to return to the ring.
