The intense rivalry between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz needs no introduction. At UFC 196, Conor McGregor fought Nate Diaz with Diaz taking the win. At UFC 202, however, the Irishman emerged victorious, leveling things up between them. During this stretched-out rivalry, the teams on either side also started beefing with the opposing team’s members. Now, it seems tension might be brewing between McGregor and Diaz. The reason was Diaz’s comments about McGregor’s team during a recent interview in the buildup to the Jake Paul fight this weekend. In no time, one of McGregor’s team members fired back.

Dillon Danis, McGregor’s friend, and teammate took a stand for the Irishman saying, “i ain’t go no where i’m with @TheNotoriousMMA till the end we whooped your whole team more times then you can count which is only up to 5“, when Diaz claimed that he and his team ended McGregor and his ‘minor’ team, in a recent podcast interview.

The last jibe that Danis took was at the courtesy of Conor McGregor who had made that comment in an interview where both Diaz and McGregor were on together. This was a poke at the fact that Nate Diaz, supposedly, dropped out of school. Now, it seems the doors for a ‘potential fight’ might have been busted open, as Nate Diaz and Dillon Danis have re-ignited the ‘old flame’.

Nate Diaz takes a jibe at Conor McGregor and his team, once again

Recently, Diaz found himself in the epicenter of yet another brawl but this time with the team of his upcoming opponent, Jake Paul. Following that, Nate Diaz was seen talking about the rivalry between his team and McGregor’s in a podcast interview. Back in 2016, the press conference ahead of UFC 202 had quickly spun out of control as Diaz and his team walked out of the arena when McGregor entered late. Both sides had started hurling water bottles at each other and the situation had to be brought under control.

This time, Diaz finds himself in a similar situation – a face-off that quickly turned into a brawl. The fight in question broke out at a recent face-off between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz. The two are scheduled to fight in a boxing bout on 5 August in Dallas.

In the podcast interview, Diaz was asked which was the one squad or team where everyone was beefing with everyone on the opposite team. “I don’t know… probably… there was only… Conor’s squad. They were a minor little squad until we killed that squad. Dillon Danis is long gone,” said Diaz.

Although their beef was intense, McGregor has come out in support of Nate Diaz ahead of his fight against Jake Paul. He also spoke highly of the Diaz brothers and the legacy that they had in MMA. Nate Diaz also returned the favor by showing his support for the Irishman. But under the current circumstances, is there a chance that we might see a McGregor vs. Diaz 3?
