During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, the 44-year-old boxing promoter started off his conversation by talking about his fasting process. He claimed that it was a step he was taking towards the betterment of his health, just like Dana White did with his 86-hour water fasting. Eddie Hearn said, “I’m just, I’m learning… I’m reading, I’m being convinced maybe slightly deluded… I’m just trying to improve myself.”

The boxing promoter also mentioned that while he has been going through the fasting process, many people on social media took the opportunity to call him a Dana White rip-off. However, Eddie Hearn did not mind those comments since he is focused on getting into a healthier shape. “A lot of people have been DMing me saying, ‘You’re just a poor man’s Dana White’, and… I want to get better, I want to feel better [and] I want to be healthier,” the Matchroom Sport chairman added. Furthermore, Hearn also mentioned the difficulties of fasting as well. Let’s have a look at that front.

Hearn has remained hungry for 50 hours

fasting is not an easy process. People are always tempted to eat while undergoing such a process. Eddie Hearn seems to be facing a similar problem. He mentioned that he has not been feeling hungry despite having starved himself for over two days, living only on a liquid diet. Hearn further stated, “I wouldn’t say I’m enjoying it. No! I’m remarkably not hungry… I am 50 hours in with no food and I am not hungry… I have just had water and electrolytes.”

Nevertheless, the Matchroom Sport chairman claimed that fasting is a great challenge for not only him but for others as well. He is determined to complete the duration of his process and get back to his normal diet thereafter. “It’s fun. It’s a good mental challenge [and] it’s difficult, you know… When I set my mind to something like this, I ain’t losing so tomorrow night, we feast,” Eddie Hearn added.
