The Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight is shaping up to be one of the most unique events in boxing history, not only because of the magnitude of the contenders but also because of the record it will set: the largest age difference between two fighters in a professional bout, at 31 years between Tyson and Paul. While Paul’s record boasts nine wins (six of them by knockout) and one loss, Tyson’s numbers remain impressive, totaling 50 wins (44 by knockout) and six losses.
So it is truly turning out to be a battle between age and experience. With the legendary former heavyweight champion back in the ring, people can’t help but talk about the fight. One of which is none other than Joe Rogan. On episode #2149 of his Joe Rogan Experience podcast with guest Sebastian Maniscalco, Rogan revealed how dialed in Tyson is towards the fight. So much so that he might even be consuming medications that will help the legendary fighter win the fight.
The UFC commentator revealed this after he watched an interview with Mike Tyson, where the 58-year-old revealed that he is eating nothing but raw meat to prepare for the fight. The truly stunned Joe Rogan, who claimed that ‘The Dynamite Kid’ is truly in his fight mode now. As he said, “I was like Jesus Christ. He’s in this f—ing mode. He’s in that God of War mode,’ and that he’s still got that in him.”

However, right after this, he revealed that Mike Tyson has been taking supplements that are helping him fight his age-related issues and be fit enough to go one-on-one against ‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul. “And I’m telling you, if you keep giving that guy hormones and you keep giving that guy supplements and he’s constantly training…” Joe Rogan further added a warning for the YouTuber-turned-boxer. The UFC commentator said that the legendary boxer has not lost his skills, and he is still the savage that he was in his heyday. So if Rogan were Jake Paul, he said he’d be “sh—ing my pants.

Rogan claimed that there is still a darkness in Mike Tyson’s mind that can help him win the fight. “When a man has smashed men before, just smashed men, like, when no one can stand in front of him, that is in his mind still. That’s in there. There’s a dark chamber in his mind that he can open up, and I think he’s got it open. The question is, can his body move along with it? But that part of his mind, like, you’re clearly seeing. He’s terrifying when he’s in the zone.” Well, it looks like Rogan is cheering for Mike Tyson in this fight. However, he won’t be the only UFC guy rooting against Jake Paul.

Sean Strickland is not new to controversies, especially when it involves Jake Paul. The two have feuded in the past, and this time the former UFC middleweight king is calling out ‘The Problem Child’ by calling his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson tasteless. In fact, he labeled it a cash grab from the YouTuber-turned-boxer. Strickland took to X after seeing the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson trailer and expressed his brash opinion.

The boisterous California native truly dislikes the idea of watching an old Tyson compete against a fighter, who, according to him, should be fighting men of his own age. He wrote, “@jakepaul is a clown. Your ability to make money off stupid people is impressive, but being rich won’t buy you dignity. You’re fighting a 60-year-old man who is just trying to make a dollar by risking his life. Sc—ag.” If that wasn’t enough, ‘Tarzan’ started replying to fans and slammed the fight even further.
Strickland even claimed that the fight, which is professionally sanctioned in Texas, should be canceled. “Are you a f—–g idiot? This should be illegal… The man had a medical emergency a month before this because he’s too f—-ng old. F—ing clown.” For the unaware, ‘Tarzan’ is referring to Mike Tyson’s ulcer flare-up that led to the fight getting postponed. So it surely looks like Strickland is no fan of Jake Paul. But what do you think? Who will win the fight? Let us know in the comments.
