Shutting Down Colby Covington’s Massive Claim, Jorge Masvidal Makes an Audacious Statement That Could Land Him in Trouble in the Ring

The UFC star Jorge Masvidal fell into a slump after he first met Kamaru Usman at UFC 251 in July 2020. While the welterweight fighter is yet to register a win in over a stretch of two years and three fights, he remains confident of his skill set. ‘Gamebred’ also painted a target on YouTube sensation Jake Paul, as he claimed to inflict damage on him inside the ring. Expressing his opinion on the recently concluded Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight, the Miami-born believed he would wreck either of the fighters if given the opportunity. Besides, the prolific striker who picked up some flashy knockouts in his career also brushed aside his friend-turned-foe Colby Covington‘s claims.

Notably, the 38-year-old declared that God bequeathed him speed and power as boxing came naturally to him. The former title contender voiced the same when he appeared in an interview with Dazn Boxing Show. Significantly, he talked about his boxing promotion and also specified to make light work of both the fighters.

The 35-16 record holder reminded the hosts he had over 50 fights. He said, “I’ve got numerous knockouts and the thing that comes most natural and easiest to me is boxing. First and foremost, my speed and my power, I feel that God always gave to me since the first day as a kid.”

Following this, the American Top Team product went down the memories lane as he pointed out, “All the little boys around me and my coaches could see it. My hands were faster than everybody considerably.”

Therefore, the American fighter held he would wreck ‘The Problem Child’ and would damage him. Similarly, he announced he was a conditioned athlete, and asserted to not get tired while throwing blows. The #11 ranked welterweight insisted, “I’m a pro of 50 fights. And I’m not going to get tired throwing heat” 

Previously, ‘Chaos’ had claimed that Masvidal wasn’t able to keep it and gassed out. Also, Covington suggested Masvidal didn’t feel the same. The same might prove to be an impediment if Masvidal steps into a boxing ring.
