Gervonta Davis is caught under a lot of fire lately following his arrest on the domestic violence charges brought against him. However, ‘Tank’ was soon granted bail and is back to concentrating on his fight with Dominican boxer Hector Luis Garcia. But recently, the UFC star, Sean O’Malley, threw him under the bus by questioning his star power. In the latest episode of his podcast, the Helena native touched upon a number of subjects and happened to mention Floyd Mayweather‘s former protégé. Although Davis has established himself as a prominent boxer in his 9-year-long career and maintained an undefeated record, which is 27-0 at present. But O’Malley wasn’t convinced. He argued against Davis’ popularity and demanded some solid proof to make the case valid for him.

Sean O’Malley wants receipts

During the latest episode of his podcast, the UFC bantamweight stalwart discussed the aspects of ‘clout’ in today’s time. That was followed by the discussion on Gervonta Davis’ next fight with Hector Luis Garcia. However, Sean O’Malley managed to draw some intriguing parallels between the prior topic and this one. O’Malley said, “It’s funny they try to really make it look like he’s a star. Gervonta. He’s just… I’d love to see the actual pay-per-view numbers of those fights. Because he’s been fighting on pay-per-view for the last couple.”

Although ‘Tank’ has amassed a massive fanbase and a ton of fortune for himself in his career, that doesn’t serve as much proof for the doubt the UFC star has.

In episode #189 of TimboSugarShow, Sean O’Malley reviewed Gervonta Davis vs. Ronaldo Romero and appeared visibly disappointed. He went on to claim that they both ‘sucked’ in the fight. “The fight’s happening though, me vs Gervonta in five years, I swear. I could knock his a** out, I really believe that,” stated the 28-year-old. Additionally, ‘Sugar’ continued to mention the weight division for the fight while remaining generous to Gervonta Davis. He said, “135, because I think he just fought at 130, so I don’t want to be a bully. But 135, I’d KO him.”
