Joe Rogan seems to be a big admirer of boxing legend Mike Tyson. The UFC commentator believes that Tyson was better-looking than Muhammad Ali in his prime. However, along with admiration, Rogan is also intimidated by the 57-year-old. Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are set to fight in a professional boxing match on July 20 for a boxing bout. The former undisputed heavyweight world champion is returning to the ring after many years for a professional game, but it looks like he still has the top game just like he did in his prime. Even though Tyson has had a lot of health issues, he is still going strong and even scared Rogan many times.

During one such time, Rogan was also forced to alter the table on the set of his acclaimed show ‘Joe Rogan Experience’.

Rogan has explained on more than one occasion how Tyson was a huge influence on him while he was growing up. The GOAT heavyweight boxer has a die-hard fan for sure. He mentioned how scary huge and powerful ‘Iron’ Mike is, while Rogan was talking about the table incident. Rogan said on his podcast, “He’s terrifying when he’s in the zone. I changed the shape of the table because of him… We had a table that was this size at the old studio and the new studio, I was like, ‘Maybe we’ll make the table smaller, it’ll be more intimate, I’ll be closer to the guests.'”

“So, we had Mike Tyson in when he was 300 pounds. And he was just eating and having fun and smoking w**d… Then he got this offer to fight Roy Jones Jr. So, he gets in insane shape and the next time I see him, the second podcast we do, Mike now weighs 230 pounds and he’s got these muscles in his forearms. So, he’s sitting there and he’s a different human. He’s so intense, that I was like, ‘If this table was closer to him, I’d be nervous.’ Like, I wouldn’t be able to do my best job as a podcaster. That’s the reason why this table is this width,” added Rogan.

His physique was insane and during the second podcast Tyson was 230 pounds with huge muscles and Rogan explained how he looked like a different human. Rogan even revealed that if 57-year-old Tyson was even an iota near the prime Tyson who beat Marvis Frazier then Paul was done for. Meanwhile, Rogan was terrified of Tyson in another instance.

Rogan’s laugh made Tyson angry and Rogan lost it

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ who has 50 wins from 58 fights came back against Roy Jones Jr. After the fight he appeared in the JRE podcast and discussed the bout and the 30-second training video that Tyson uploaded. The boxer candidly explained how it was exhausting for him and revealed his pain. He said, “I did that video and I was in bed for a week.” ‘Iron’ Mike told Rogan, “That was 30 seconds and I was in bed for a week and that’s not funny because it made me realize that this is big boy s–t.”
