Ryan Garcia recently revealed that he has a boxing prospect with UFC’s Bantamweight Champion Sean O’Malley. It is already known in the fighting world that the duo has been rivals for quite some time. Garcia also won against Devin Haney giving him an increased chance for a crossover boxing match with ‘Sugar.’
He disclosed the same to Patrick Bet-David in his podcast and also revealed that there might be a possible rematch with Gervonta Davis.

During the conversation with Patrick Bet-David, Ryan Garcia very calmly answered that he had a few fights on his roster that might happen soon. King Ry said, “I mean we have a few talks with Sugar Sean O’Malley for a boxing match he wants to fight. There is another opportunity for me to fight in August. I could fight Pitbull Cruz there and then there’s this guy that I want to fight as well. His name is Sebastian Fondura. He has a world title at 154. I can knock him out.”
Garcia also recently challenged Davis, who knocked him out in 2023 and snatched his undefeated record. The 25-year-old wants a rematch with Davis but apparently after their last fight, Davis did not want another rematch. According to the latest reports ‘Sugar’ and Garcia are both on the same page when it comes to a fight against each other. Garcia also mentioned that ‘Sugar’ and he can “never be friends” and said, “We are acquaintances, but no we are not friends. I don’t make friends with guys who have hair like that.”

This clearly shows that both the fighters have a beef with each other and they might be acquaintances but they do not like each other.

The two fighters also have had an ongoing online rivalry for a long time. Speaking with Ariel Helwani on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour, Garcia said, “I’ll beat his ass in MMA. Guaranteed. I’m a natural wrestler.” Not only does he have a beef with ‘Sugar’ but also with Davis. There was a tweet that Garcia did where he said, “Everyone wanna talk about the little Stupid tank Let’s fight nuff of that funny talk Come see me at 144 and let stop the talk If you beat frank let’s run it @Gervontaa.”

The reason why Garcia and O’Malley have a feud is because of their conversations on X. Sugar had shown his desire to fight with Davis and said that in his post-UFC 292 press conference. However, Garcia, who lost to Davis in the previous fight, did not like ‘Sugar’s’ words. He then came on X and asked O’Malley to “stop talking” about boxing. ‘Sugar’ gave a reply by taunting Garcia and talking about his loss to Davis.
