Jake Paul emerged victorious against Nate Diaz in their boxing match over a couple of months ago. Thereafter, he proposed an MMA fight to Diaz, which was an idea that the Stockton native did not really subscribe to. Recently, Paul made some comments about Diaz’s hesitance to fight him in MMA, which led to the ex-UFC star lashing out at ‘The Problem Child’ and putting forth a demand in a post on Twitter (X).

The Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz boxing match was one of the biggest crossover fights in 2023. Both fighters went head-to-head for 10 rounds as the YouTube-turned-boxer grabbed the win with a decision victory. Then he called for an MMA fight, which was dispelled by Nate Diaz. Let’s see what he had to say.

MMA icon Nate Diaz recently came across a video clip of Jake Paul talking about the MMA proposal he forth to the ex-UFC star in the ‘Fullsend’ podcast. ‘The Problem Child’ claimed that the 38-year-old MMA star is hesitant to take him on in a cage fight. Paul claimed the reason for Diaz’s refusal was because it could prove to be a risk for the Stockton native.

Jake Paul further went on to assert that Nate Diaz losing an MMA fight to a YouTuber could affect the latter’s legacy. Moreover, he believes that the MMA community may even make fun of the ex-UFC star. However, Nate Diaz shut him down in a post on social media.

“You’re full of sh*t I didn’t ask for sh*t,” Nate Diaz said to Jake Paul. He further added that he will take on ‘The Problem Child’ in an MMA fight any day. However, Diaz doesn’t think Paul is on that level and he does not want to fight in the PFL, given that his allegiance lies with the UFC (in a not-so-nice way).

“I’ll fight you tomorrow in MMA the problem is you suck and I don’t work for pu**yFL dumba*s u do,” Nate Diaz added. Moreover, he also put forward a demand if Jake Paul wanted to run it back and fight him again. Let’s take a look at what the Stockton native had in mind.

The Stockton native calls a boxing rematch and an MMA fight

Nate Diaz seems to have an interest when it comes to fighting Jake Paul again. The last match had a lot of people talking and even proved financially beneficial to the former UFC fighter. As such, Diaz has demanded a rematch in boxing. He even added that they could compete in an MMA fight in their third outing since Paul will need some time to train.

Regardless of the comments and demands from both Jake Paul and Nate Diaz, it is still uncertain as to what the next move for both individuals will be. There have been rumors that Paul is already working to make his next fight happen. However, his next opponent is yet to be officially announced. Meanwhile, a few months ago, Diaz mentioned that he might go back to the UFC, but he is still a free agent. Hence, there is a chance that we get to see him fight ‘The Problem Child’ again if the YouTuber agrees to do so.
