“I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon”, proclaimed ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor through his X handle. The former UFC dual-weight champion of the world has yet to make his return to the combat sports arena – it’s been more than three years and counting. However, it seems his long hiatus might end under the banner of the Ambanis, the eighth-richest family in the world. According to reports and McGregor, himself, the Irish superstar is rumored to face Logan Paul in India, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
Now, if the fight takes place then it would be within the confines of the Queensberry ruleset, and as Logan Paul is naturally bigger than ‘Mystic Mac’, things might go a little off the charts for the former UFC champ. However, let’s not forget that McGregor has spent a good chunk of his life, training and fighting at the highest levels. If there’s anything he has, it’s one-punch KO power. Ahead of their clash, let’s have a look at how things can play out if and when the fight is officially announced by the promoters.

What made Conor McGregor famous, you ask? Fighting ability – sure, but also his ability to sell fights through the immaculate use of trash-talking. The way he uses his words to get inside the head of his opponents is a signature element of his fight marketing which is yet to be replicated by any other fighter. Many have failed and tried, but Conor McGregor blends sarcastic humor, bravado, and psychological warfare to captivate his audience as well as his opponents. Known for his witty and sharp comebacks, it’s quite enjoyable to witness how the fighter masterfully builds anticipation, transforming his fights into must-watch events.
As soon as any promotion announces the fight, we can expect Conor McGregor to unleash hellfire upon Logan Paul, which, in turn, would provoke a response from the Paul brothers, who are known to not back down from online spats. Logan Paul’s clash with Conor McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis, serves as a prime example of this. Danis took potshots not only at Logan Paul but also on his wife Nina Agdal, which forced Logan Paul to engage in psychological warfare against Danis.
Regardless, Conor McGregor knows how to sell his fights as his antics have pulled in a massive 2.4 million pay-per-view buys when he fought Khabib Nurmagomedov back in 2019. In addition to that, his massive money fight with Floyd Mayweather pulled in an astounding 4.3 million PPV buys back in 2017. McGregor’s brand can rake in money for any promotion he associates himself with (fighter or promoter-wise) and his money-drawing capacity could be replicated in India if the fight takes place. On top of that, this clash could become a huge marketing platform for Logan Paul and Conor McGregor to elevate their respective brands.
A ton of marketing through Paul vs McGregor
Logan Paul and Conor McGregor are not only skilled fighters but also marketing and business geniuses. They leave no stone unturned when it comes to promoting their brands at any event, whether it’s Paul’s PRIME beverages and Lunchables collaboration, or McGregor’s Forged Irish Stout and Tidl spray collaboration. The former dual-weight champion of the world might take this fight as an opportunity to revive his star power which has hit rock bottom due to Nikita Hand’s civil case.
‘Mystic Mac’ can further use this fight to promote the Forged Irish Stout beer brand by tying it to his bold persona and Irish pride. In addition, he could promote his other brands such as August McGregor and McGregor Fast. How, you might ask? Well, through branded press conferences, post-fight celebrations, and after-parties with Bollywood celebrities. On the other hand, Logan Paul might have the upper hand in promoting his brand in India because PRIME has already marked its entry into the South Asian sub-continent this year.

The YouTuber-turned-Boxer’s hydration drink is already pretty famous across the world, and India might be the perfect market for him to build the beverage brand. In addition to that PRIME can prominently make custom gear and training content for Logan Paul to clinch more audiences for them. In conclusion, this fight will be much more than just a normal clash for the fighters, as it could serve as a platform for significant growth in burgeoning businesses. However, how will the fight turn out if the fight actually happens? Let’s find out.
An underwhelming boxing fight between Logan Paul and Conor McGregor?

Conor McGregor has been out of action for more than a good three years now, and his highly anticipated comeback might not be as amazing as fans are expecting. ‘Mystic Mac’ broke his tibia in his last battle against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and this understandably battered his confidence, as injuries like these can derail fighting careers, as seen in the cases of Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman. In addition to that, this is an exhibition fight, and nothing is on the line for either of the fighters. Therefore, neither of them has anything to lose as both are already wealthy and don’t have to put themselves in danger to prove their skills or make a point.
However, even if McGregor vs. Paul is an exhibition bout, there’s no stopping them from actually going after each other. This isn’t a case of a young up-and-comer going up against an aging veteran. Logan Paul’s size in comparison to McGregor’s could be a winning factor for him, but never count out ‘The Notorious’. The man went 10 rounds with arguably the best boxer in the world in 2017. ‘Mystic Mac’ has incredible knockout power, and could very well put Logan Paul’s lights out at any moment.
Exhibition fights have always been slugfests, with a few exceptions here and there. The clash between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. was an exciting event that was marketed perfectly, and the fight lived up to expectations, showcasing the grit of both veterans despite the bout being a draw. However, the same couldn’t be said for Tyson vs. Jake Paul, as despite all the marketing, ‘Iron’ Mike seemed like he wasn’t all there, and Jake was pulling his punches.

In addition to that, unlike Jake Paul, Logan doesn’t seem as hungry to prove himself as a professional fighter, and his last bout against Dillon Danis was abysmal, to say the least. In that light, we can consider this bout to be a tune-up for both Conor McGregor and Logan Paul, with either fighter having the potential to earn big bucks and promote their respective brands. What do you think of an exhibition boxing bout between McGregor and Logan Paul? Will you tune in to watch it, or is a bout like this just “sportswashing in India” as Michael Bisping put it?
