The entire world of martial arts were left teary-eyed witnessing Mike Tyson being dominated by Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium, Texas, on November 15th. Even though it was a fight that the fans greatly anticipated, they didn’t back off from lashing out at ‘The Problem Child’ for fighting a 58-year-old boxer. Needless to say, the world was wary of Tyson’s health, as he kept gasping for air as soon as the fight began. But who would have thought Conor McGregor would stand against Paul, mocking his habit of fighting old and retired fighters?

In a now-deleted tweet, the ‘Mystic Mac’ lashed out ‘The Problem Child’ and his team. He dragged in the paralyzed legend, Prichard Colon, into the discussions. The tweet read, “They are eyeing Prichard Colon for next opponent.” Well, McGregor’s frustration is indeed understandable. After all, he put about a million on Tyson’s victory.

Taking to X, not too long ago, the former UFC double champion announced, “My two fight bets this weekend! Tyson KO, Jones Stoppage. $1million double on @Duelbits.” But with ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ losing to the YouTuber-turned-professional boxer with a score of 79-73, McGregor simply couldn’t keep his calm.

With all the boxing, however, it’s easy to forget that ‘The Problem Child’ is part of the PFL banner, with him teasing a move to mixed martial arts. However, before his MMA debut, Jake Paul feels like he needs to square off with one more name in the boxing world.

Jake Paul set to face another star before his MMA debut

As he was getting ready for the showdown against Tyson, Paul was asked about his next fights. Without wasting a single moment, he announced that it would be Canelo Alvarez he wants next. Paul said, “It’s Canelo. This moment will prove I’m the face of boxing, the largest attraction. And me vs. Canelo at 200lb for the cruiserweight championship of the world is the biggest fight, arguably even bigger than me vs. Tyson, and it makes so much sense.”

Paul claimed that defeating Alvarez would be the greatest upset in the history of boxing. Needless to say, Alvarez does want a payday, and a fight between Paul and Alvarez would definitely boost the YouTuber’s popularity and his intrigue as a boxer. Paul continued, “We’ll fight to really see who is the face because after this event, I’m going to be claiming it.”

PFL’s CEO, Peter Murray, also took charge of announcing what’s next for Paul. According to him, ‘The Problem Child’ would debut in the world of mixed martial arts in 2025. No doubt, it would be a trailblazing task for the boxer. But who will be the first to welcome the younger Paul brother into the cage? Only time will tell.
