Nate Diaz showcased a tremendous heart in his first-ever boxing match against Jake Paul. Although he didn’t win, UFC president Dana White had some words of praise for the Stockton native. Furthermore, he also spoke about Diaz potentially returning to the UFC for another run in the promotion.

Jake Paul defeated Nate Diaz via a unanimous decision win. However, he failed to knock him out and understood why he was considered one of the most iconic MMA fighters ever. Diaz even claimed to have hurt his arm before the fight, but that did not stop him from fighting all ten rounds. Moreover, he expressed his desire to return to MMA, especially to the UFC. Dana White was not on the best terms with Diaz after he left the UFC in 2022. However, he had some good things to say about him this time around.

Dana White claims Nate Diaz can always come back

During the recent press conference for Dana White’s Contender Series, a reporter asked the UFC president regarding his thoughts on Diaz’s return to the UFC. He also mentioned that the Stockton native said he missed fighting in the promotion. White stated that he has a mutual feeling toward Nate Diaz. The 53-year-old promoter said, “We feel the same way about Nate, you know. Always have.”

Furthermore, the 53-year-old also stated that Nate Diaz can always come back to the UFC whenever he feels like. He grew up in the promotion and headlined some of the biggest fights against some of the best fighters. White added, “This will always be Nate’s house. Nate grew up here, came in on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ [and] he fought some of the biggest fights. We love the kid.” Moreover, he gave his opinion about Diaz’s fight against Jake Paul.

The Stockton native impressed the UFC president in his boxing match

Dana White was impressed with the heart that Nate Diaz displayed during his fight against a much younger and experienced Jake Paul. He mentioned how the former UFC star is nearing 40 years old and fought a bigger opponent and completed the whole 10 rounds. White said, “For a kid pushing 40 years old, fighting a guy four weight classes bigger than him in boxing and two in MMA and going the distance.”

Dana White also praised Nate Diaz for taking on the 26-year-old Paul. He believes that he fared better than most of ‘The Problem Child’s previous MMA opponents. White was indeed happy for Diaz. “At his age against the f***ing 20-something-year-old kid, so far he’s fared the best out of everybody. He looked good and I am happy for him,” said the UFC president.

It remains to be seen what Nate Diaz will decide to do next. We can see him back in the UFC, or he might even consider taking on Jake Paul in an MMA fight. ‘The Problem Child’ already has an offer for the former UFC fighter. We will have to wait and see what unfolds in the days and months to come.
